WOMEN'S MINISTRY

She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy. She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet.

Proverbs 31:20-21

MASTERS OF ORGANIZATION

Women’s Ministry to the rescue.

Our Adventist Community Services (ACS) Ministry, led by Bob Rishor, has been working hard to organize delivery of our services to our community from the new location in Bennett Hall.

ACS is a major operation providing thousands of meals to our community but was overwhelmed by the relocation effort to Bennett Hall.

Our Women’s Ministry leader, Nneoma Akamiro, heard of the problem and organized her team into action to lend a helping hand.

As the work began, the task seemed rather daunting with boxes of food and other stored items seemingly everywhere. The ladies tugged, lifted, moved, and directed to organize like items in an effort to improve the efficiency of the Adventist Community Services Ministry team and get rid of unusable items.

As the ladies worked, their organizing super skills really kicked in and before long things started to take shape. Grocery aisles soon formed and the plan became a reality. With grocery shopping cart in hand, the Adventist Community Services team could now move through Bennett Hall and quickly gather food and personal care items to serve our community.

Wrapping up at the end of the effort they joined with our brothers, Men’s Ministry, to reflect upon the work completed.  Working together always gives us a chance to grow closer to our church family as we share in a common effort.  We closed with prayer praising God and the opportunity to serve.

Under the leadership of Nneoma, Women’s Ministry is moving forward serving our members and our community.
